If you have been reading my site, you know I love sweets. I love to make them and especially eat them. Ever since I have moved to the ATL, I have been searching for amazing bakeries. Not restaurants that have desserts, but storefronts with yummy baked goods. Check out what Rebecca Recommends for the best bakeries in Atlanta!

Alon’s

Just celebrating their 25th anniversary, this bakery (with a Va-Hi and Dunwoody location) keeps customers coming back year after year for a taste of the delicious selections. Known for its high-quality, made-from-scratch collection of baked goods, cakes, pastries, gourmet sandwiches, freshly prepared foods, fine cheeses, chocolates and more, the eatery is an Atlanta gem.

Henri’s Bakery

A mainstay bakery in the heart of Buckhead. This spot, currently in the process of moving down the street , is still open for business and one of the best places to meet a friend for heavenly apple fritter or cheese Danish. From freshly baked breads and croissants to donuts, cakes and cookies, the bakery is heaven.. Try one of the miniature French pastries (which require a 24-hour notice) and get a dozen of your bite-sized faves like tiny pecan tarts, fruit tarts, chocolate crème puffs and caramel eclairs.

The Cookie Studio

A decadent selection of freshly baked cookies, cupcakes and bars, The Cookie Studio always has a melt-in-your-mouth variety of goodies. Founder Barbara O’Neill has the magic touch because each cookie has the perfect crisp outside with a divinely chewy inside. And, each day they showcase over 18 flavors of cookies, yummy cupcakes, melt-in-your-mouth brownies , whoopie pies and more.

Sweet Hut Bakery

An intown bakery specializing in East Asian baked goods from coconut butterfly buns to Hong Kong Egg Tarts, they serve more than 100 types of buns, pastries, delicacies. toasts, cookies and snacks on the daily. But once they run out, they are out, so get their early if you have your mind set on something like their Chocolate Buttercream custard bun. Also, they are known for their delightful bubble teas, milk teas and other specialty drinks.

The Little Tart Bakeshop

Head to this French-inspired bakeshop for the best from-scratch baked goods made fresh daily using local and seasonal ingredients. Located in Grant Park, this yummy spot serves everything from Beurre croissants, specialty tarts-like the must-try chocolate caramel, plus an assortment of Danishes, scones, cookies…you name it. Go often for their latest concoctions using the latest in-season local fruits and other ingredients. This place will make your mouth water the second you walk in the door.
