It’s November, and that means Priscilla the Pink Pig is back in Atlanta! Here are some ideas for a fun weekend in Atlanta:

You know the holiday season is here when the Pink Pig rolls out. Visit the Pink Pig at Lenox Square to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and bring the kids!

Children’s Christmas Parade, Dec. 2
This is an Atlanta tradition! On Saturday, Dec. 2 the Children’s Christmas Parade will step off at Peachtree St. and 16th St. and end at Peachtree St. and 5th St. Watch as Midtown Atlanta will be transformed into Santa Claus Lane with the sights and sounds of the season.

With floats, giant helium-filled balloons and marching bands, the Children’s Christmas Parade will be the largest holiday parade in the southeast. Thousands of spectators will be lined up along the streets eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa and the official beginning of the holiday season in Atlanta. Can’t make it to Peachtree Street? The parade will step-off at Peachtree & 16th Street at 10:20 a.m. and will cross the TV zone at Peachtree & 11th Street at 10:30 a.m.

Reindog Parade, Dec. 2
Join the once-a-year fun of dogs in the Garden. Dress your pooch in holiday finery to compete for prizes or to just show off.

Enjoy photos with Saint Nick and connect with local canine enthusiasts and businesses in the Doggie Expo. Don’t have a dog? Come enjoy the show!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in Concert with ASO, through Dec. 2
The Harry Potter™ film series is a once-in-a-lifetime cultural phenomena that continues to delight millions of fans around the world. This concert will feature the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performing every note from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone™. Audiences will relive the magic of the film in high-definition on a giant screen while hearing the Orchestra perform John Williams’ unforgettable score.

Christmas at Callanwolde, through Dec. 12
The joy of the holiday season begins at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center with The Christmas at Callanwolde Designer Show House. Visitors of all ages will enjoy touring the historic mansion elaborately decorated by Atlanta’s top interior and floral designers, as well as professional holiday displays, an expansive artists’ market, and themed events for all ages. Every room inspires and captures the spirit of the season.

By evening, see the campus of Callanwolde in a new light- every building on the grounds will shine with professional light displays by Illuminating Design. Daily events include:Tours, Live Entertainment, Holiday Shopping, Family Activities.

Botanical Saint Nick, through Dec. 16
Meet Saint Nick clad in his dark green robe and botanical head wreath every Saturdays. Bring a camera to take your own photos. Free with Atlanta Botanical Garden Admission or Membership.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, through Dec. 31
Rudolph soars back into town for this faithful adaptation of the wonderful holiday film that speaks to the misfit in all of us. Based on the beloved 1964 stop-motion animated special, Rudolph and his friends (including Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius, and the Abominable Snow Monster) take the stage. Based on the classic television special. Adapted by Jon Ludwig; directed by Tim Sweeney.
