Happy Fourth of July Girls Weekend!

Rebecca Weingold

It looks like a nice long weekend. Even though I am in this internship, we are closed today. YAY! This means a long weekend. Herbert and I are up in the mountains with some girlfriends!

Sometimes all a girl needs is a weekend trip with her friends and to take a break from life’s trying demands. From working long hours to raising a family, a little downtime is well deserved and what better place to catch your breath than the beautiful North Georgia Mountains?

Relaxation and rejuvenation are vital when it comes to a weekend getaway. Rent one of our luxury Georgia Mountain cabins to take in the stunning views of the majestic peaks of the Rich Mountains or Cohutta Wilderness. Maybe a soothing soak in the hot tub with a nice glass of wine in hand listening to the inviting waters of the Coosawattee and Ellijay River or possible the gentle sounds of Fighting Town Creek is all it will take to relax your weary soul. Or, if you’d rather rest your head and allow your means of relaxation to rest in the hands of a professional, you can spend the day rejuvenating your spirit in Blue Ridge, GA at Serenity in the Mountains Day Spa and take advantage of their special Girlfriend’s Getaway package. They provide a luxurious yet peaceful setting, including lunch and a plethora of wonderful spa treatments.

If you’re looking to go into town, Downtown Blue Ridge has plenty of restaurants and activities to allow for a fun and fulfilling day out with the girls. On Main Street, you’ll find an abundance of art, antiques and unique clothing and gifts. Have a ladies lunch at one of the Mom and Pop shops, then just a short drive up the road is the Mercier Orchards where you can not only buy and pick fresh fruits and veggies but also to enjoy the gorgeous Georgia Mountain setting while dining on a delicious homemade lunch. Be sure to bring back all those goodies to your cabin and whip up a delicious dinner to enjoy by the fire or outside underneath the starry North Georgia Night Sky.

Can’t wait to get there!
